May 27 – 29 Family Cafe, Hyatt Regency, Orlando

Since 1998, The Annual Family Café has brought Floridians with all types of disabilities together for three days of information, training, and networking. With a great range of individual breakout sessions, a packed Exhibit Hall with dozens of vendors, and a series of special events including Keynote speakers and The Governors’ Summit on Disabilities, The Annual Family Café offers attendees exposure to resources on a grand scale, unprecedented access to policy-making officials, and a chance to network with other individuals with disabilities and their families.

Harwood Village is presenting “Preparing your Loved One for Independent Living” on May 28th

 

Tram Tour at Circle B Bar Reserve – date to be determined

Take a tour  and then picnic at the beautiful Circle B Bar Reserve.  On the northwest shore of Lake Hancock, Circle B is a former cattle ranch that today boasts a wide variety of plants and animals. You can see several distinct ecosystems in this reserve of 1,267 acres. You’re almost guaranteed to see alligators in Lake Hancock, often considered the headwaters of the Peace River, which flows more than 100 miles from Polk County southwest to the Gulf of Mexico.
